REPAIRS WE DO

ENGINE

Some call it the heart of the truck others call it the powerhouse. All we know is that it is one of the most important and most expensive parts of your truck. Without it you wouldn’t be able to pull a trailer empty let alone a fully loaded trailer.

DRIVETRAIN

The drivetrain consists of transmission, clutch, yokes, drivelines, hanger bearings and differentials. All these pieces make up your drivetrain and it is what converts power that your engine makes into force to apply to the wheels also known as torque.

HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING

Keeping the driver warm in the cab is of utmost importance and is actually a key safety factor when it comes to driving. If your toes are freezing or you’re busy wiping the sweat off your brow it will take away your focus even for a split second from the road.

DIAGNOSTICS

Diagnostics is like an art form, a lot of people pretend to know how to diagnose but it takes an expert to do it efficiently. Sometimes when diagnosing a check engine light or stop engine light it can lead you down a vague path

LIGHTING

There are many parts and pieces when it comes to lights. There’s marker lights, signals, brake lights, headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, cabin lights and bunk lights. All these lights have different wiring sometimes teeing

EGR, DPF & SCR

EGR was introduced in several heavy-duty engines in October 2002 to meet the new EPA requirements. It was implemented in engines from 2003 to the present. DPF was introduced in 2006 and implemented in heavy-duty diesel engines from 2007 to the present.

COOLING SYSTEMS

The coolant system consists of your radiator, hoses, valves, coolant reservoir, and coolant filter and of course coolant. To keep the cooling system properly maintained you have to keep a close eye on the coolant reservoir/tank.

STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS

The starting systems and charging systems consist of batteries, starters, alternators, solenoids, relays, wires, cables, switches, fuses and computers. All of these components make up the 2 systems.

BRAKES

The only thing stopping you from ramming the passenger van that just cut you off is your brakes so these are probably the most important factor when it comes to DOT inspections. At every annual inspection brake drums are removed

STEERING & SUSPENSION

Steering consists of a steering wheel, steering column, steering box, tie rods, kingpins, drag link, pitman arm, power steering fluid reservoir, pump and power steering lines and hoses. Suspension consists of springs, bushings, airbags and shocks.
