Keeping the driver warm in the cab is of utmost importance and is actually a key safety factor when it comes to driving. If your toes are freezing or you’re busy wiping the sweat off your brow it will take away your focus even for a split second from the road. If we lose focus on the road we’ll probably end up on the side of the road and that’s the last place we want you to be. The heating system is fairly simple. The heater core has hot coolant from your engine flowing through it like a radiator but instead of cooling the coolant it will actually blow air over it with the help of a blower motor and the vents will direct the air where you want it to go. The air conditioning is a lot more complex than that and consists of a special gas called refrigerant and involves changing the state of this refrigerant from gas to liquid and back to gas again, compressing it, drying it and changing the pressures.
